A Georgian Farm Feast during Open Farm Week
Tuesday August 13, 2019 5:00pm-9:00pm
Come celebrate the bounty and beauty of summer with a spectacular farmhouse feast during Open Farm Week! A Georgian feast is a celebration of life and human connection with lavish food, copious wine, poetic toasts, and breathtakingly beautiful song.
In the early 2000’s, Cate Hill Orchard farmer-owners Maria and Josh travelled to Caucasus Georgia and had the honor of taking part in this ancient tradition. They will recreate the magic, Vermont style, using their own farm grown veggies, organic fruits and berries, sheep cheese, and grass fed lamb as key ingredients in the meal.
The feast will take place in the old farmstead apple orchard, underneath the century old apple trees.
