Apple Cider Vinegar
Our apple cider vinegar is made with our own organic apples and aged in an oak barrel for 6 months. It has high acidity (over 5%, which is the standard) and a great flavor. We also have an Elderberry Honey Apple Cider Vinegar and infused vinegars: Garlic Ginger Mint Sage Raspberry Seaberry
Bear Fat and Sheep Fat Salves
We raise our bees with no chemicals—which is a challenge! Josh’s father, Larry Karp, is the master beekeeper (he kept bees on this farm for 20 years), and is working on building up good genetics of productive, mite resistant bees that are well adapted to our climate. All spring and summer our bees feast on nectar and pollen from our orchard, providing great pollination as well as beeswax (for salves) and delicious honey. Our honey is raw and unfiltered, and will crystallize.
We raise Icelandic sheep for meat, fiber and milk. We’re out of lamb right now, but will have more by late June 2012.
